Hutter Putter Bull Gear Temporary Attachment Bolts- Bolts hold your Siemens type removable bull gear so it can remain bolted in place during your entire outage. This allows bull gear to be used with your Hutter Putter to turn your turbine rotor train, instead of requiring the bull gear to be removed and being stuck with having to use the overhead crane. Without these bolts, the bull gear spacer must be removed when the coupling is disassembled (see picture left), rendering the unit’s turning gear out of commission during the outage. The design of the bolts allow the Bull Gear to be bolted to either the LP coupling half or the Generator coupling half depending on your outage work-scope. They are should be used in conjunction with your Hutter Turning & Alignment Pins to allow faster alignment of the generator coupling alignment.
